Why?
It is a question that seems the easiest to ask and the hardest to answer. As any three year old quickly learns, the why question is the best question of all. And as any adult realizes soon enough, the why questions just drive you nuts! Asking why you do something forces you to look into the mirror and find what truly motivates you.
So why am I writing this blog? Because I want to get to the bottom of my why's. Because I want to record and be motivated by my progress to accomplish new things. Because I want to find greater meaning in who I am on this Earth. Because I am tired of wondering what if.
Maybe all of those are my answers.
Or maybe they only scratch the surface.
I will not start off my blog answering the hard questions, but I will say this: I want to be better.
A better person.
A better lover of Jesus.
A better wife.
A better friend
sister...
daughter....
I think you can tell where I'm going with this.
I'm excited and can't wait to begin to see where life takes me! Come join me and we can learn our answers together.
Reminds me of "Predictably Irrational" where the author mentions how people write blogs about their debt to get out of it. I agree, publicizing our lives is a great motivator! (I wrote an economics paper about it ;))
ReplyDeleteI'd like to read that! Yes saying and living and breathing the goal you want to achieve can all help towards that!
